installing laundry tub
#1

I am replacing my laundry tub. Does it matter whether I put in piping between the tub and the drain or can I just use a flexible hose which goes into the floor drain?
Also, I asked three stores and they say I don't need something to hold the washer water hose in the laundry tub. It seems if I leave it loose the hose will flop up and out of the tub.
Aren't there simple clamps to hold the washer hose in place?
Thanks for anyone who can help. I'm a real novice at these things.l

If you dont mind having a hose running
across the foor over to the floor drain
that will be fine, also depending on the
power of the pump on the washing machine
the hose could very likley blow out.
you can just use a 1-1/4 galvanized 2 hole-
strap or a piece of band iron to secure
the discharge hose to the side of the sink
or wall.if you want, try it without strapping
it first,if it acts ok the first time it should be ok all the time.
