Unhappy

What can we do if our pipes have frozen below the grade coming into the house?? The main comes up through the concrete and that is where it is frozen.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
because we will be needing water soon. Oh, and the temperature is getting colder than it was when they froze!! HELP!!

if the portion of the main water line is
copper or galvanized and you know the
trouble area you can open the cold on
the tub and take a torch and hold away
from the frozen area 4-6 inchs to thaw.
the water will run freely at the tub when it
turns loose.once you get it thawed keep
any draft off of the pipe and keep an
electeic heater next too it.
if the line is plastic just wrap it
up thoroughly and put a heater next too it,this should help you.
