sewer back up

We have replaced the sewer line outside the house, but still have a problem with back up. The line maybe too flat, can't afford to dig up the floor, any way to prevent the back up with a trap or some device to trap the back up. It flows in the room we want to have for a third bedroom. We do have two drains, one is for the washer, the one backing up is for water softener. Any advice?

Call the local public sewer people, if you're on public sewer, the problem is theirs. If you're on a septic system, the problem probably yours, and need to (a) have tank pumped out, (b) drainfield replaced, and/or (c) both.

The city already replaced their public line in the street. There was 2 dips in the line which was replaced, no roots were found with the camera. The plumber we talked to thinks the line is flat, but has not helped with options, he has'nt returned our calls. Thank you. Cindysy
