new well pump

We put in a new well pump.We upgraded to a 1 hors.pump.Should I get better pressure in the house.Also,the repairmen set the pressure switch at 40/60 on/off.When i bought the switch,it said 30/50.Is this ok?

Should be, and you should have better water pressure, if the 40/60 settings are higher than on your old pump. Do you have galvanized supply lines? These are notorious for building up scale inside the lines, and can restrict water flow/pressure.
