My husband used a hammer to knock off the screws from an old toilet seat. We have now discovered that he also knocked a whole in the porcelain. We tried using caulking material but that did'nt work. Is there anything we can do to repair the whole without replacing the whole toilet? Help we have 6 six kids.

Cool

Aha, the old hammers-and-porcelain-don't- mix lesson, huh? (Hacksaw works more better on stubborn toilet seat bolts next time.) Not knowing how large the hole is, it's kinda hard to suggest a fix, but if it's not too large, try very large washers above and below (on both sides for balance/looks) to span hole. If hole is too big for large washers, might try repairing with something like auto body Bondo with a bolt hole made where it should be with a short piece of tubing. Hope this helps for quick fix. Good Luck!
