No water in external faucets

When I attempt to run water through the external faucets at my house, no water comes out. The main water supply is obviously working because I can get water at any other (interior) fixture in the house. Only my external faucets do not run water.

I'm not aware of any valves that are closed, but I assume I simply missing them. Unfortunately, I'm out of ideas about where to look.

Under sinks in bathrooms and kitchen? Near water heater? Do you have a basement/or crawlspace?

Is this a new house? To you I mean? Could be there was a problem and the prior tenant turned them off instead of repairing.

After you've exhausted all possibilities of where to look, you may need to look under the sheetrock. I can't tell you how many times I've seen contractors/handymen drywall right over the shutoff valves with the intent of adding an access panel, but then forget.

I'm sure it's not the answer you were looking for though...
