Gas Line Recommendation

Hello,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a direct-burial flexible natural gas line to fuel a pool heater. My dad is a retired commercial pipefitter, so he has installed miles of threaded steel gas lines, but in this case we have to trench around several obstacles in the yard in a "double-S" shape, so a flexible line would make the job much easier and probably cheaper. Do any of you have a recommendation for a flexible pipe material that is approved for direct-burial residential gas line?

Thanks.

Have you checked with your gas utility? Flexible gas line is common for both residential and commercial/industrial buried gas lines. I think it is a polyethylene material but I'm not sure. What I am sure about is that it requires special fittings and is most likely not available to anyone but contractors that have been specially trained in its application and installation.

This company also has a flexible underground gas line. Easy to install.
