I am replacing tub with walk-in shower on concrete slab. Appears that tub drain does not have a trap. I've uncovered brass? drain down to a leaded junction but can't see cast iron pipe yet. If I melt the lead out and remove the tub drain, what will I find ( 2" connection??) and how do I connect a 2" pvc line to it? also--is there a minimum verticle distance from shower drain to the trap exit?

THE LEADED PORTION OF THE DRAIN IM SURE IS EXTENDING UP OUT OF A CAST IRON P-TRAP, IF
YOU WILL DIG A LITTLE DEEPER YOU SHOULD FIND IT. ALSO THERE IS NO MINIMUM ON THE WASTE LINE ON THE RCEIVING END OF THE TRAP, YOU
CAN BUTT THE FITTINGS HUB TO HUB IF YOU HAVE TOO.RE-CONNECT THE PVC TO THE CAST IRON
BY USE OF A 2 INCH NO-HUB ADAPTER AND 2 INCH
NO-HUB BAND.
