My water pressure has drop in the kitchen and bathroom faucets. It was fine until a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to know if there was anything I could do before I call a plumber.

Cool

Sounds like you just have something clogging your faucet aerators. Take them off, and clean them out. Run your faucets without them on to see if you still have good pressure. Should flush whatever out. Replace aerators, if o.k., after cleaning. If it looks like white plastic particles, you may have a problem with your water heater, so check back here, if so, and we'll help you further. Good Luck!

Thanks! The faucet was clog with rusted pieces of metal. Is it time for new pipes(copper)?

It is possible that you need to think about replacing your pipes. How old are they? Since you suggested copper, I am assuming that they are galvanized iron. Might be a good idea to shut off your water and remove a shutoff valve and possibly a supply line at the water heater so you can look inside of the pipes and see what shape they are in.
