faucet removal

we are remodeling our bathroom and installing a tub surround, but we can't remove the tub faucet. any help??

Cut a large enough hole in the sheetrock (a foot or so high and a couple feet wide) so you can get to the entire valve. If it's a 2 or 3 handle valve, there should be brass unions on the bottom (or top) of the hot and cold sides that you simply unthread to remove the old valve. If it's a single handle unit, you may have to cut the pipes to get it out, and go from there. Have the new valve on hand so you can get the water back on as soon as you have it replaced. If you have more questions once you can see the old valve, post them.
