My Pipes sing or vibrate when I turn the water on. Seems to be on the hot water side. What causes this?

Variations in water pressure cause pipes to sing/vibrate, usually high pressure causes it. There is a nifty thingamadoojiy they sell in hardware stores that acts like a shock absorber for water pipes. I forget what it's called. It's a little tube that you attach to your water line and it does a good job of keeping the pipes from banging. Also you might want to use some metal brackets to attach your pipes to the wall/studs to keep unregulated movement to a minimum. Just saw a Michael Holigan show on tv all about noisy pipes where they used both methods to quiet noisy pipes.
