tankless hot water heater

the home I recently purchased comes with a tankless hot water heater (no gas on street) and I find that unless I turn the heat up I get no or little hot water. This is becoming a problem as the weather gets warmer, I don' need to turn the heat on and as a result am taking short cold showers in the morning. A plumber told me I need to get a hot water tank. Is this my only alternative? is there anything I can do short of calling a plumber? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Sounds to me like you are going to have to call a plumber.
