We have a circa 1957 American Standard one piece toilet which is leaking from tank to bowl (model 327-2005) Have replaced the flapper valve/ flush valve with new brass 0 ring one and put bead of silicon between tank and brass and brass and gasket (per plumbing supply store advice). Also replaced fill valve with Fluid Master 400A- still a slow leak. Please help-

Suggest replacing the toilet with a circa 2000 American Standard. The water savings will repay the cost of the new toilet in a few years.
