Question

We are remodeling our kitchen and are moving the location of the sink. We are not sure how to install the vent pipe for an island sink. Is there anyone out there who could supply us with this information?
Thank you,

What you need to install is a loop vent. There are several specific items that need to be included in the vent system for it to meet code. Ask a local plumber or a bldg. inspector to draw you a detailed picture.

Lefty is right but as far as a picture goes look under plumbing codes right at this site shows a very detailed picture of a loop vent. http://www.doityourself.com/architec...mbingcodes.htm

I think most local codes now allow air admittance valves. Check the Studor web site. It's probably www.studor.com or do a search for studor vent.
