Dishwasher installation

I want to replace my old dishwasher and do the installation myself. However, I have come to find out that the water supply is on the right side of the opening and it needs to be on the left side for the new dishwasher. Can I just use a hose or flexible pipe to re-route it or do I need to use copper pipe? and If copper is recommended, can this all be done with compression fittings?
Thanks for any help.

Use a length of 3/8" soft copper tubing and rout it whereever you need to to accomodate the new dishwaher. That can all be done with compression fittings and adapting it to the threadsed fittings at both ends.
