The toilet will flush once or twice then it will no longer flush contents down. I have already removed the toilet bowel from the floor and flushed with water from the top and from the bottom. Any ideas as to how to flush or get the item to move one way or the other. I have no clue as to what is in the toilet.

Cool

A toilet is constructed to serve as its own drain trap, and small objects, such as plastic toys, etc. can easily hang up in it and clog when paper is flushed. Get a plumbers auger (3' handle with a crank) that is just made for toilets, and snake out the toilet both ways to try to dislodge whatever is in it. While you have the toilet up, snake out the drain line, too. (Or look for a clean-out plug to the line). It could be something in the line. If these two steps don't work, go to the roof and snake out your vent stack with a snake long enough to reach from the roof to the bottom. If these 3 steps don't work, call a plumber. Good Luck!
