Unhappy

Candle wax was poured into my bathroom sink and has since hardened in the drain and has caused the sink to become clogged. Have tried pouring boiling water, Drain-O, and a snake-like device. Nothing seems to work, is there a way to get this candle wax out myself or dissolve it somehow? Don't really want to call a plumber.

Good chance it's just hardened in the trap of the drain, remove the trap and see if that is the case, then if so remove the wax from trap and replace it.
