shower drains

If there are any plumbers available to give advice on tub drain.

I am moving a drain to the center of the floor do I need to have a pee trap attached to that line before it goes in the floor.

Reminder this is a basement bathroom... I was under the assumption that there is an existing pee trap underneathe the floor? Is this a correct assumption?

Your description is a little vague. Are you talking about a shower drain? A tub drain usually has a specific place for it to go. So won't most shower bases unless you have a tile base. Then you can put it any place you like.
But yes, it must have a p-trap and it should be directly below the shower drain. In the cement floor.

If you are installing a shower where there was once a tub, you need to make sure the waste line is 2" for a shower. Tubs can be 1 1/2" but showers need to be 2".
