Recently in one bathroom there has been ana sewer order. There does not apear to be a leak anywhere. What could be causing the smell? Could it be a defective wax ring, or a clouged vent pipe? Will try any suggestions to fix. Thanks

Cool

Can you get under your bathroom floor to look for a toilet wax ring leak? Or can you tell from floor above? If not, try pinpointing the source (which drain trap- tub, shower, sink?) and check the vent stack. Snake out appropriate vent pipe, if necessary. I think you know that it is one or the other. Good Luck!
