weird problem leak

The shower is in a full one piece tub/surround with a curtain, so it not caulking. No water on bathroo floor. my guess is it s leak between the bathtub nossle and shower head as no water leak when kids have a bath only a shower. so ... it likely to be the tub nossle with the pull up thingy for the shower??? could such a leak be intermitent??

Things to check out
The shower arm is it loose?
The bathtub overflow, it could be the gasket that makes the water tight seal between it and the tub could be bad, splash water into that area while someone is below looking.
And you have checked the caulking around the trim yet?
