Bathtub Caulk Poblem

I have a tub with a space between the top rim whee it meets the tileed walls of approximately 3/16ths of an inch. I end up recaulking the tub every 6 months or so as it develops a leak at the rim. The caulk deteriorates or sinks imn behind the wall.I am using a quality tub caulk. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

Befor you re-caulk make sure you remove all the old caulk and clean the tub and tile very well,then use a 100% silicone caulk to re-caulk.Also make sure that you dont have a leak where the water is going behind the tiles when you shower.Good luck Dave
