Question

We have new low flow toilet in a bathroom closest to the main drain to the street. After being clogged and cleared with a plunger a couple of days ago, it now burps a big bubble of air when it's flushed. It drains fine, but the burps splashes every time. Any ideas? Keith

Cool

You may have some blockage in your vent stack. Check that out on roof to make sure that it is clear. Snake it out, if necessary. Good Luck!

After further inspection, I discovered that the burst of air comes from the siphon hole. Does that help diagnose the problem? --Keith

Cool

Yes, and I still think that it might be a blocked vent stack (birdnest? leaves?). No drain, including a toilet, can drain properly without being vented properly. Did you check the vent stack on the roof over the toilet?
