On the opposite end from the handle is a washer that needs to be replaced. This washer seals the faucet shut.you must remove the handle(held on by a screw),then remove any nuts holding the stem assembly into the faucet body then the stem will screw out like you are opening the faucet. You must get the right sized washer as there are many sizes so take the stem with you to a hardware store etc. These commonly use very easily found washers.Obviously you need to turn off the water flow to this faucet before you begin. If there is no in line valve you will have to turn off the house water.Depending on how old this faucet is you may find the parts difficult to remove. If the faucet is old examine it for damage as it may need replacement.
