Bathtub Blues! Help!

Unhappy

I live in an apartment house with very old, antique plumbing. I have a clog in the bathtub. I've tried using the plunger and running the hot water, both of which did not work. Since the pipes are so old, I am very reluctant to use any drain-unclogging chemicals, and I would like to know if there is anything else I can do before calling in a plumber (which I REALLY can't afford because I'm a starving student). I've read that I should perhaps try cleaning the drum trap, but it's incredibly delicate-looking, and I don't know if I can attempt that.
Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance for your time!

Cool

You live in an apartment house?
Good. Call your landlord or building super. It is THEIR resposibility to ensure that all is functioning properly. Good Luck!
