During the present rain storms, my sump pump is working overtime....but doing the job. My worry is what can I do if the power goes off?
A 12 V backup would not fit my sump hole.Is there any other assistance out there??
BTW.. my sump hole is next to my sewer outlet.

Check into small portable 110v generators. Your sump pump is probably 110v, and NOT 12v. Good Luck!

Dishwasher not completely draining

After running the dishwasher there is always a large amount of water left in the bottom of the dishwasher that did not drain out or evaporate. I always scrape and rinse the dishes before loading in the dishwasher and there is nothing clogging the drain as far as I can tell. Also, I make sure to run the garbage disposal before using the dishwasher to clear any food left in the drain that might backup during the washing cycle. What do you think the problem is here?

reinstalling toilet - leveling

We have reinstalled our toilet after replacing floor covering, but it is not level. The floor is pretty level (checked it before installing toilet), and from side to side, the toilet is ok, but from front to back it is off quite a bit, at least 1/4 inch. How important is it that the toilet is level? Does it have to be perfect? And what's the best way to fix it? thanks for any advice.
