Galvanized Drain Pipe
I have a stone utility sink in my basement. The drain is connected to the galvanized threaded drain pipe. The trap between the tail pipe and the galvanized drain pipe should be replaced. I've never worked with iron pipe this large. I measured the circumference of the pipe (7.75"), and used the old formular to find the diameter (2.47"). Is this pipe 2" or 2 1/2" nominal size? I only need to unscrew one fitting from the main pipe.
