Unhappy Breaker for Sewage Pump in Basement keeps tripping

I have a basement sewage system for toilet, shower and 2 sinks that keeps blowing the breaker. It won't pump the system out and it's getting very smelly. What should be my first line of attack?

It sounds like you may have a bad pump. It's more than likely it works off a float switch. check to see if the float and all wires are still in good shape. If all the splices are under water. You may have to get a back-up pump to get the water out.
