Noisy Vent Stack

I take care of a condo for my mother in law, and she has been complaining about a noise in the laundry room. I tracked it down to a vent stack opening where they also ran the hot and cold water lines for the washing machines. (there is an inspection seal from the local inspector next to it, so I guess it meets code) This vent stack goes down to a plastic drain line that drains the Kitchen sink, diswasher, and the laundry room tub (never used) under the floor. Is this noise something I would hear on a normal stack that exits above the roof line when water is draining thru it? Or is this something I need to check out further?

If DWV plumbing is PVC (plastic), you will likely hear water running through it, especially if there are laundry(s) on the floor(s) above.

Noisy Vent Stackds

there are no other floors above that would influence this. This noise is not running water. It is like water trying to get out but fighting its way out. I'm thinking about shooting a hose down the stack and seeing what that does.
