Question Trap Primer constantly "running" for days

Well, first let me say that I am in a rental apartment and this actually isn't "my problem" to fix, but I am curious anyways.

I read up on traps and trap-primers after noticing the one in my washer-dryer closet is constantly "dribbling" water all day.

I called my landlord and let them know that "something is dribbling in the closet" all day, but now that I'm sort of more informed, I figured I'd ask for maybe a little more input here, from the big wide internet!

So... am I right to deduce any of the following:

a) Trap Primer broken
b) Trap is draining constantly (it is broken somehow below the floor?)
c) Who cares, let the landlord deal with it

there could be a number of reasons for this to be occuring. it may even be "normal".

can you give use the brand and model number from it?
