Dishwasher water backup. Sink backup when disposal runs.

So, the kitchen sink works when running water. If the garbage disposal runs water backs up in the sink then slowly goes down. Tonight I looked in the dishwasher and found about 1" of brown water in the bottom.

What should I do? Do you like Drain-O would work?

Welcome to the forums! Chemicals don't work that well and can harm pipes, kill bacteria in septic systems, and are caustic, so let's try conventional methods first. Under the sink, place a pan below the drain and remove the ptrap. I would imagine it is clogged with food items.
As far as your dishwasher goes, is the drain hose looped to the top of the cabinet or hooked to an air valve on top of the sink?
I believe you will find a clog either at the output of your disposer or in the ptrap. Let us know what you find out.

personally i think you have a restriction further down the line that will let the slow running faucet drain but add the pressure from the disposal and it backs up. i do agree however that your dishwasher line is not loop up high to the top of the cabinet
