filters

Just a note and reminder to replace whole house filters per manufacturers recommendations. I just serviced an old customer, called about "black stuff" coming out of the outside spigot and clogging the sink valves. He thought it was coming from the street supply, but I said, "you have a filter, it would catch anything like that coming in". The filter had burst, flowing charcoal particles throughout the plumbing system. It took me 3 1/2 hors to get things cleared.

CHANGE FILTERS REGULARLY!!!!!!!!

I can sympathize, Bill; in our previous residence in NC we had that happen and the filter only had a couple of months use on it, so it was obviously a defect, but what a messy PITA.
