Outdoor Faucet Repair help?

Hi. First of all...great board! Without you my first home experience would be a disaster. Okay...so here's the deal. We have one outdoor faucet (townhouse). Everything was great until the handle broke off. Now that the sun is shining again, I figured I'd fix it. After taking apart all that I could from the fixture I noticed that the valve stem is a little bent. The faucet model is a Nibco 90.

PLEASE don't tell me I'm going to have to go from the back and solder a new faucet. Directly behind the faucet is the downstairs shower. My question, is there any way to replace that valve stem from the outside? If not...any suggetions?

Should I just try to replace the handle somehow and chance the slightly bent valve stem? Thanks a bunch

You should be able to unscrew the valve stem & replace it.

Outside Faucet Repair

If you are unable to find the parts, buy a new faucet identical to the old one and cannibalize the new one to get the parts you need to repair the old one. The collar behind the handle should unscrew to allow you to remove the stem.
