New closet flange

Getting ready to cut out some old cast iron and no hub it to some new abs.

I noticed at cheapo depot they sell and abs flange that is all abs and one with a metal ring integrated to it. I'm wondering which one is better? The all abs one is definatley thicker which in my mind eqauls better.

Also as far as no hubs go are there different quality levels of those? The ones there have two skinny bands for each side and then they have a shallow one with ridges inside that is completley encased in metal. Or should I stop being so cheap and go to the supply house?

Everything being equal I would go for the flange with the metal ring, they are easier to line up and they don't have the problem of breaking off; don't forget that both have to be screwed to the floor.

As far as the No-hub band or Fernco coupling is concerned, use the one thats covered in metal.

Well I guess it doesn't matter about the no-hub because i have to go all the way to the stack which leaves me with 4 inch bell that i have to clean up and use a donut on.

Thanks
