is there an easy fix for weak water pressure?

I just moved into my home and the water pressure is weak everywhere but the kitchen sink, and that includes the dishwasher right next to the sink. The shower barely has enough pressure to get the shampoo out of your hair!!
Im ignorant when it comes to plumbing so any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.

Question City water or Well water

Many questions;

Do you have city water or well water?

Do you have any filtration equipment; in-line water filters, water softner, etc...?

I would start the troubleshooting process whereever the water line enters the home and work forward.

Have you tried to open the water softener bypass valve?, to see if that makes a difference?
