I recently replaced a bath vanity. It's made of the made-made marble looking material. The tailpieces I tried, barely have enough thread for the nut to catch. I can't use any washers or seals plus I need to flip the nut so the unflanged side catches the threads. This of course, will leak. Do they make tailpieces with extended thread pieces? Am I doing something wrong? thanks in advance, Mel

Hi All, I have a 30+ year old hose bibb that is leaking from the stem. I have already taken it apart and repacked it - still leaks. Needs to be replaced completely. I believe it to be sweated on the copper pipe. Unfortunately, it is real close to the stud and the builder did already do a bit of wood burning decoration. I know that I would. So I found Gator Bites at the local store. They look like what I need to fix this problem. My questions: What are the gotcha's with these? What do I need to do besides cut a nice straight cut on the existing copper pipe and then use the 'sandpaper' to rough up the copper? I have the brass connector with a screw on end for the new ball valve faucet (yes, I have plumber's tape). Decided on ball valve because it's easier on the hands. I can get to the pipe rather easily cause the faucet is on the wood siding portion of the house and I've already replaced all of it and this is the last section to be finished with THAT project (then to move on to the interior of the house)! Have already replaced the electric socket with a GFCI that is in another panel of the siding. Thanks for any insight, Jazmateta
