moving kitchen plumbing lines
Hello everyone. I am getting ready to undertake another remodel project for my wife. Our kitchen sink and drain line are coming off an interior wall. She wants to move the lines to an exterior wall. The question I have is can the lines be moved a total of 7 feet by notching the 2x4 wall studs or am I going to have to go the hard way and hire a professional plumber to move the lines. The drain slope can be increased slightly to accomodate the increased distance to the original position of the drain. Thanks for any response.. Pat

Exterior walls are usually bearing walls and there is no way you can notch 7ft. in them, I don't think that you could do that in a non-bearing.
Running 7ft. probably puts you off the vent (if you have one) also, sorry.
