I have carpet in my bathroom and there is a wet spot infront of the shower. The carpet looks discolored around the edge of the shower. The spot appears only when used. I used it for about two weeks and the spot got bigger and bigger. I have not used it in about a week or so and the spot has dried. If it were a pipe I think that it would leak all the time and only get larger and not dry up. Do you think it could be the shower pan? The house is about 30 yrs old and it all looks original. How hard is a shower pan to replace? Can it be done by a DIYer? I was planing on redoing the sink and tiling the floor and shower. I was not planing on it so soon. If it is a poored in pan could it be patched with some thing?

I need help with a gas hot water heater. The hot water is coming out yellowish/brownish and the cold water is clear. We read that it could be the build up of sediment. The unit is 5 years old and no, we've never flushed/drained it. It is an A O Smith. Please help.
