I need to replace the hydrant which is located between the pump and the house. After I turn off the pump do I need to worry about pressure from the pressure tank forcing water back out the opening caused by removing the old hydrant?

I need a washing machine supply hose with a 90 degree elbow. I want a braided stainless hose, but for some reason these are really hard to find (checked several stores). Whirlpool makes a braided nylon hose, they claim it's better than stainless, part #8212638RP. Haven't seen it in person but Amazon sells them. Any experience with these? Incidentally, this is actually for a steam dryer. The dryer comes with a brass Y fitting, two male threads and one female, and a short hose with male on one end and female on the other to go from the wall to the Y. I think it's kind of strange that nobody seems to make a higher quality (meaning not the cheap black rubber kind) of hose for this application given that steam washers have been around for a while. If anybody can suggest an elegant solution to me (not involving a lot of long hoses laying on my floor) I would be most appreciative. My laundry room is on the top floor of my house and cheap rubber hoses give me the willies (should they?).
