Toilet flange not attached to subfloor
Hello,
I pulled out old toilet, flange and line are welded to each other. They look like cast iron. The flange was not bolted/screwed to subfloor. The line seems to be pretty solid. Does flange need to be screwed to subfloor? I know in PVC installations it has to be. Any opinions please?
thanks!!

That was a common practice with the PACK AND POUR joint not to fasten them if the installation was solid, if in your situation the pipe and flange are loose you will have to fasten it.
