Toilet flange

I'm in the process of a bathroom remodel. The toilet flange is cast iron, I'm guessing original from mid 60's. I notice some rust on the flange but it appears to be solid. Anything I need to be conerned about? I'd hate to finish the job and find out a few years down the road the flange needs to be replaced.

thx, Don

Wire brush it, , clean it with some solvent, and paint it with some primer for rusty metal if you feel like it. You probably can't reach the bottom of it anyway. If it's just surface rust it will last for many more years.

Will the floor wind up at the same height as it was before the remodel?
