Water well pump replacement

I installed my burke model 5hna in 1980. It need to be replaced. Is configured for deep well with venturi down in the well casing. I tried replacing pump with a convertable jet pump from lowes. Pump does not work very well and does not build pressure over 15 psi. The lowes pump does not have a flow control so i tried an in-line gate valve for flow control but it did not help. Evidently the pressure and flow specs for the "utilitech" pump from lowes is not compatible for the existing venturi in the well. Who can help me find a pump compatable to my burke? I want to use the existing deep-well venturi.

Welcome to the forums! Do you still have the old pump? Match the specifications listed on the old pump to ensure you are getting the proper item. Just buying a pump hoping it will work, usually won't. It could be the foot valve as well (if equipped), since it was probably installed at the same time as the pump.
