All of a sudden my toilet tank won't refill. I can pour water into it and flush the toilet but it won't refill by itself. What could be the problem?

Probably a bad fill valve. A new Fluidmaster would cure that pretty easily. When you start to replace the fill valve, aim the supply line into a can or bowl and crack open the shut-of valve. Make sure you are getting water through that valve into the fill valve.

I have the same problem with the toilet tank not refilling and have read the reply for fixing this. I don't know what a fill valve is or a fluid master. I looked at the diagram of a toilet on this website and these parts are not labelled. Can you explain further, please and thanks.

As lefty said, use a FluidMaster (brand name) fill valve assembly (float-cup type). Same/Same.
This is connected (inside tank) to water supply line, and controls the cuton/cutoff of water inside tank. It's adjustable (pinch clip on small rod beside cup). Just see directions on box.
Turn off water. Flush toilet. Sponge out excess water in tank into bowl. Test supply as lefty said.
Install new FluidMaster. Adjust cutoff to fill line indented inside tank. Make sure flapper is sealing correctly.
Problem solved. Easy fix.
Good Luck!
