Question

I am trying to replace o-rings. I have disassembled the shower valve per the following:
1.) Removed handle and handle adapter
2.) Removed the Hex nut

How do I get the actual valve out of the body, is there a special technique I need to use (other than brute force)? I thought once the hex nut was removed the valve would slide right out.

Thanks
South

O-rings and valve stems often have a snug fit.Hold the valve body still, reattach the handle and screw and use this to turn and pull at the same time.
