HELP!!!!!mY HOT LINES FROZE UP A FEW DAYS AGO. But if you turn on the cold line anywhere in the house the hot water runs, it's cold but something is coming out. Why is this doind this? The pipes are about 2 month old CPVC. And I'm pretty sure that it is frozen behind the wall on the unoccupied first floor. We've ran and ran the cold hoping that it would help the hot thaw out but nothing has helped so far. Not even the blow dryer...

Obviously, the only way to thaw out frozen lines is heating the lines. A hair dryer has to be blown directly onto the pipe. Do NOT use something that will cause steam in the lines, such as a propane torch.
If it's in a wall, then you're going to have to heat up the wall/room. Open downstairs hot water faucets nearest where you think that the line is frozen, and raise the heat in the wall/room.
Do you have a basement or a crawlspace? Also try there with the hair dryer. (Hot water lines should always be on the left at each fixture. Just figure it out from underneath.)
Running water in another line will not help with the frozen line. It'll just waste water, although you may want to let it drip just to keep it from freezing, too.
Good Luck!
