ABS to Cast Iron Joint

WE have an old (40 yr) joint in the basement where black ABS pipe joins cast iron before going under the floor. This joint is leaking. How do I reseal it and what material/product do I use?

Thanks,

Typically, you connect ABS to CI pipe with a no-hub connector, which is basically a tough rubber sleeve equipped with SS hose clamps. Hardware stores and home-supply stores have the popular sizes. If you have odd-sized pipe like me (see today's posting), you may have to search.

You have to order a transition fitting by the type of pipe and the INSIDE AND OUTSIDE measurments, you won't find these in a hadware store, you will need to get them from a supply house. Go to this link and it will give you the information you need; this is just one brand, most are similar.

fernco, fernco couplings, fernco coupling, flexible pipe connectors, fernco fitting, flexible couplings | Fernco
