motion sensor faucet install

I bought a motion sensing faucet online but the directions that came with it don't tell me how to get the 2 hoses (hot & cold) to connect to the 1 inlet on the unit. I expect that I need something to go between them and moderate the water temperature. Can anyone tell me what that something is? I find having the right name when I go to a hardware store very helpful.

Many motion sensor valves are intended only for one line so as you've guessed you have to combine your hot & cold lines and then one line to the motion sensor valve. You can use a "T" and I would put a valve on the hot and cold lines so you can easily turn them off for servicing the motion valve and so you can adjust the hot & cold ratio to provide the temperature water you want.
