Replacing old sewer line, what and where, fittings and clean out.

Replacing my old sewer line. I have already dug it up in my basement and wanted to make sure of the fittings and clean outs are in the right place and of correct type.

I have had no problems with the line I just wanted more head room in the basement. When I got to the sewer line I found a couple of places that had a piece of tin covering a hole on top of the pipe. Also, there are 7 - 2" pipes coming in from outside, for ground drainage which I want to do away with, that tie into the sewer line.

Does anyone know of a link for this? Better yet a link for a diagram of such?

Thank you for any help.

Could you post pics of what you have??? I find it odd that ground drainage pipes are tied into the sewer line.

Hi lawrosa,

Hi lawrosa,

Thank you for your time. My house was built in 1889 and before sewer processing plants. I don't think they cared much about mixing the two back then.......just get out of my yard!!

I will send you some pictures as soon as my granddaughter returns my camera this afternoon.

Again thank you very much for your help.

OK. Post pictures to a place like photobucket and post the link here. This way we can see what you have there and could help you out.
