Hot water line clogged or broken after fixing leaky faucet
Hello all,
I've just recently fixed a leaky faucet, but created another problem. When I was trying to shut off the water supply for the hot water, the knob on the valve was very hard to turn, it took pliers to get it completely closed. I switched out the rubber stopper on the bottom, reassembled it, and when I tried to turn the water back on, nothing happened. It barely drips out now. I know it's not the fix I did to the faucet, I took it all back off and even with it all back off, no water comes out with the valve open. Did I loosen some bits of something and clog the valve? Did I break the valve into the closed position? Should I just call a plumber? Hah. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Probably the washer in the valve . They break off when old. They are not replacable. You could turn the water off to the house and take the valve apart and pic out the washer pieces, or replace the valve.
The problem might be that the chucks of washer got up into the faucet. You will need to find out where the pieces are. Cartridge, supply line, valve....ect.
Hope this helps.
