After the freeze has thawed.....
HELP!! We have a house on piers, and the hot water line froze, even though we drained the pipes.. We have replaced the PVC pipe from the main up the outside wall to the shower manifold, but now, have no hot water to the shower- could something in the manifold itself be broken due to the freeze? The cold water side works fine
The hot water works fine in the sink- and in the kitchen- just not in the shower.
We had to cap the hot water to the other bathroom, until the break can be fixed on that side of the house.... and suggestions or reasoning for this???
Oh yeah, and now the shower drips constantly..... HELP!!!

Clarify, you stated PVC, and not CPVC. Are you sure? It should be CPVC to handle hot water. You missed draining the water heater, probably, which left water in the hot water lines. I am in the middle of the same thing on a client from Florida, who shut off their water and didn't drain it. Still finding broken pipes!
