Dishwasher draining into cabinetry - overflow hose not working
had contractor remove sink with overflow and install a sink that did not have one (he said it wasnt necessary because hose connected to main drain); 3rd time now our dishwasher when run has not fully drained and sending water through the overflow hose and into our cabinetry under the sink. What can I do to stop the overflow?

I'm not understanding your problem as you are describing it. Dishwashers have a discharge hose but not an overflow hose. Most kitchen sinks do not have overflows though vanity sinks do. When you say the overflow was removed with your old sink do you mean the air gap located atop the sink?
It sounds like your dishwasher discharge drain may be leaking but that wouldn't explain why the dishwasher isn't emptying. Have you watched under the sink cabinet to see where the leak is coming from?
Can you post some pictures of the drain plumbing under the sink?
